Hi! My name is Sheri Glover..I went to College at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst where I studied Art & Design. After school I worked as a Graphic Designer for a Magazine Publishing Company for 6 years. I then got married and have 3 wonderful children. I rediscovered my love painting, while painting a mural for my sons nursery walls.
I had kept in touch with a good friend and college roomate Caroline Gagan who was an worked in sales and is very creative. She got married and had 2 kids she moved to Cape Cod. She met a woman who was looking for an artist to paint a custom design of mermaids on the dressers and headboards for her daughters room. We Painted this for her and loved it! From that experience we started a business called Harlequin Designs and specialized in custom painting on furniture for friends and family. Caroline did all the marketing and alot of the jobs we aquired were due to her hard work. Our business grew through marketing, but mostly by word of mouth.
We really enjoyed painting these custom peices of Furniture, we sold our pieces to stores on the Cape and Galleries in Hudson and Groton Massachusetts and did some craft fairs on the Cape to aquire new business. As working moms we have become busy and have decided to continue our business and expand to include business signs and murals in addition to painted furniture. We can create an original design just for you or your business that you will not see anywhere else!
